Normal Gratuitous Relief / Normal GR is given to the distressed person for subsistence of life, like :

1. Mentally Challenged
2. Physically Handicapped
3. Visually Handicapped
4. All persons who, from age or physical infirmity, are incapable of earning their living
5. All persons whose attendance on the sick or on infant children in their own houses is absolutely necessary
6. Women of respectable birth who are debarred by custom from appearing in public and are in danger of starvation
7. Such other persons who cannot work and cannot be provided with work.
8. Note - No woman entitled under clause (f) to normal relief assistance shall be compelled to disclose her name.
9. Normal GR is given in kind @ of 12 (twelve) kg. of foodgrains per adult per month and for a child 1/2 (half) of this rate.
