To strengthen the disaster response mechanism and to build capacity at the district level to tackle disaster situations and to promptly provide relief and rescue to the affected people, the Department of Disaster Management & Civil Defence, West Bengal as per approval of the Finance Department vide U.O No. 0629 dated 03/06/2024 has decided to constitute State Duisaster Response Teams (SDRTs) in 13 prone & vulnerable districts viz.
The West Bengal Government appeals ALL to contribute in West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund and assist the State Government in prevention and control of situation arising out of unforeseen emergencies like COVID-19 (CORONA).
